PUBG MOBILE PRO LEAGUE ARABIA RETURNS FOR SEASON 2 TO DECIDE TOP TEAMS IN THE REGION

Al Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, gulftech – PUBG MOBILE is pleased to share the highly anticipated schedule for the next PUBG MOBILE Pro League (PMPL) and PUBG MOBILE Global Championship 2021 (PMGC) which will see the best teams go head-to-head starting in August with high-intensity competition all the way till January. The entire PUBG MOBILE Esports program offers a total prize pool of $14,000,000 USD for 2021, the highest in mobile esports history.

The second season of PUBG MOBILE Pro League Arabia (PMPL Arabia) kicked-off on September 6th, 2021, with the tournament boasting a massive prize pool of $150,000, pitting some of the best professional Esports teams in the Middle East for the win.

PMPL Arabia is the PUBG MOBILE pro-level tournament for the region. For the first time in the region, the PMPL Arabia will feature a mix of proven professional teams, and exciting newcomers to the professional Esports scene. Representing the new blood will be the best performing teams from the PUBG MOBILE National Championships (PMNC) for KSA, Egypt and Iraq, and the PUBG MOBILE Club Open (PMCO), who will be participating alongside the top-performing pro teams from the PMPL Arabia Season 1.

The tournament will be split into two stages, where 20 teams will battle it out over a course of three weeks during the league stage. The top 16 teams will qualify for the finals, while the bottom four will be eliminated from the tournament. The league stage is set to end on October 2nd.

The top 16 teams from the league stage will then compete for three days to find the final winners and decide who takes the top honors to become the best PUBG MOBILE Pro Sports team in the region. The top five teams will also qualify for the regional Championship, scheduled to take place during November 2021. After fierce battles in different regions, The PUBG MOBILE Global Championship 2021 (PMGC) will be the final global event in the PUBG MOBILE Esports calendar starting with the PMGC League stage on the 23rd November, with representative teams from the Middle East and Africa regions to be decided during the regional Championship.

New blood teams have been selected to participate from the PUBG MOBILE National Championship (PMNC) and PUBG MOBILE Club Open (PMCO). The top 12 teams from PMPL Arabia Season 1 have also won their position in the new season, along with 8 top-performing teams having held their own in PMNC and PMCO. Of these champions and as the first ever PMNC winners for their countries, 963EGYPT and kurd12 have the right to call themselves the best in Egypt and Iraq respectively and will be setting the competitive scene at PMPL Arabia Season 2.

Gunz Esports, the reigning champions from PMPL Arabia Season 1 will be competing to defend their title, securing in Season 1 a total of 245 points and 110 kills. Rico Infinity Team, the second-place winners will also be competing, trailing Gunz Esports with 172 points and 79 kills.

OPPO, the official smartphone partner of PUBG MOBILE Esports in the Middle East & Africa regions for 2021, will be playing an active role in PMPL Arabia Season 2, by bringing exceptionally immersive and fluid gaming experiences to the region’s gaming enthusiasts.

PMPL Arabia builds on the success of a busy year of Esports tournaments that have been launched by PUBG MOBILE. The 2021 calendar was expanded with new contests including the PMNC, as part of the international expansion of PUBG MOBILE’s Esports ecosystem, and to encourage the expansion and growing professionalism of the Esports scene in the Middle East.

All matches will be streamed live on YouTube, Facebook, TikTok and Nimo TV on each match day from 19:00 – 0:00 (GMT +3).
