Citi appoints Ebru Pakcan as Head of the EMEA Emerging Markets Cluster
Dubai, UAE– gulftech – Citi is pleased to announce the appointment of Ebru Pakcan as Head of the EMEA Emerging Markets Cluster, effective immediately.
Ebru is a proven leader and has held several global and regional roles within the Treasury and Trade Solutions business. Most recently, she was the Global Head of Trade, responsible for facilitating financing and intermediary services for institutional clients throughout Citi’s global network. Prior to that, she was EMEA Head of TTS from 2016 to 2020.
Ebru assumes the leadership of a franchise that is both performing extremely well and retains significant growth prospects in the 59 countries where Citi serves clients throughout EMEA EM. Ebru and the team are charged with fully harnessing the potential within the business, including our network, the vast experience of our teams, our coverage and product capabilities, and the ability to deploy local balance sheets for the benefit of our clients. Additionally, Ebru has a track record of maintaining a robust risk and control environment in her businesses, which will be critical in her new role.
Ebru replaces Atiq Rehman, who, as previously announced, will retire after a 37-year career at Citi. Atiq has played a pivotal role in the evolution of our robust EM franchise in the EMEA region.
Replacing Ebru as interim Co-Heads of Global Trade are Steve Elms, Global Head of Trade Sales and Client Management, and Adoniro Cestari Neto, Global Head of Trade Product Management and Structuring
