The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) has announced that the
number of companies signed up to its Qiwa platform has exceeded 500,000. The platform plays
an important role in supporting businesses by offering a range of direct services online.
The aim of Qiwa is to promote digital transformation, facilitate procedures, raise transparency,
and enhance the level of quality in the labor market. HRSD is urging businesses to take
advantage of Qiwa’s 85 services including its popular e-consultancy, which evaluates business
performance and provides advice on areas for improvement.
The range of services have been designed to help businesses expand by providing a one-stop-
shop for information and monthly update reports, together with recommendations and
analysis, to help businesses monitor and achieve their targets.
The range of digital services offered through Qiwa include Saudization indicators, information
on labor regulations, including health and safety in the workplace, the renewal and issue of
work and transfer permits and the issue of Saudization certificates.
Qiwa reflects HRSD’s commitment to implement best practice. It supports entrepreneurs by
offering ease-of-access to business set-up procedures and digital services, in line with the
Kingdom’s digital transformation program.
The overall aim is to reduce time, effort, costs, increase transparency and speed decision-
making processes to benefit the growth of new businesses and attract foreign investment.
