As Saudi Arabia ramps up industrial transformation, Fluke advances the future of reliability
Innovation Day in Al Khobar brought together industrial professionals to explore how reliable testing, measurement and diagnostics can support safer, smarter and more resilient operations. As the Kingdom accelerates its industrial transformation, increasingly complex assets are raising the stakes for reliability, maintenance and operational performance. Bringing global testing and measurement expertise to the region, Fluke Corporation, a leading provider of safe, rugged, and reliable industrial tools and integrated software, recently held an exclusive Innovation Day in Al Khobar for professionals from Aramco, SABIC, Ma’aden, Aramco’s joint ventures and the wider industrial community. The event featured technical workshops, customer presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and discussions on the latest technologies shaping industrial reliability, maintenance and safety.
According to the Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA), projects awarded in Saudi Arabia during June 2026 were valued at more than SAR29.5 billion ($7.9 billion USD), across 25 projects. The scale of new development across these sectors reflects the need to ensure increasingly complex projects can perform safely over the long term. At the same time, the growing adoption of digital technologies across Saudi Arabia is making the quality of physical asset data increasingly important. Aramco, for example, identified 442 AI use cases across its operations, with more than 200 solutions already deployed and more than 100 in development as of late 2025.² While AI and connected systems can help identify patterns and predict potential failures, the insights they generate ultimately depend on accurate data from the physical assets being monitored. Reliable measurement therefore remains fundamental to understanding asset conditions, validating digital insights, and determining the right maintenance response.
This becomes particularly important as major industrial and infrastructure projects are delivered in demanding conditions, including extreme heat, dust, continuous high-load operations and complex operating environments. As these projects move from development into operation, technical teams need dependable testing and measurement technologies that can provide accurate data, identify potential issues early and support informed maintenance decisions. By helping detect problems before they develop into equipment failures, unplanned downtime or costly repairs, reliable measurement can play an important role in reducing operational risk, controlling costs and protecting the significant investments behind Saudi Arabia’s ongoing projects.

The discussions placed measurement, testing and diagnostics within the real-world decisions industrial teams make every day, from troubleshooting equipment to protecting the reliability and safety of critical operations.
The two-day programme combined technical workshops on process calibration, power quality analysis and alignment with the main Fluke Innovation Day seminar. The event brought together more than 80 registered industry professionals, alongside Fluke and channel partner representatives, and featured hands-on demonstrations across industrial testing, process calibration, condition monitoring, alignment and safety technologies.
