One World International School (OWIS) Al Jazeera welcomes students to its New Campus, ushering in an Inspiring New Academic Year

One World International School (OWIS) Al Jazeera proudly welcomed students to its newly inaugurated campus as it opens for the new academic year, ushering in an exciting new chapter for its growing community in the Kingdom.

Designed to provide a world-class learning environment, OWIS Al Jazeera will deliver a dynamic and well-rounded curriculum to students of Kindergarten 1 through to Grade 5, grounded in the American Common Core Standards and enhanced by the inquiry-led Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

Complementing this international framework, is the delivery of Saudi Ministry of Education curriculum for National Identity subjects, including Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Social Studies, ensuring students remain firmly rooted in the heritage and values of the Kingdom as they grow into globally minded learners.

The teaching faculty extended a warm welcome to the students as they arrived on campus for the first day of the new academic year. The students, in turn, were filled with excitement and anticipation as they embarked on their journey at the new campus.

Ms Lisa Herrera, Founding Principal of OWIS Al Jazeera Riyadh said, “As we welcome our first cohort of students, we look forward to partnering with families to provide an outstanding educational journey that fosters academic excellence, character development and a lifelong love of learning. The opening of OWIS Al Jazeera represents the realization of a shared vision to create a vibrant learning community where every child feels valued, inspired and empowered to achieve their fullest potential.”

Scott McMillan, Associate Director of Business Operations at OWIS, added: “The opening of our Al Jazeera campus reflects OWIS’ continued commitment to investing in high-quality educational environments that support both student success and community engagement. We are proud to welcome our founding families and look forward to building a school community that sets new benchmarks for international education in Riyadh.”

One World International School (OWIS) Al Jazeera is the second campus in Riyadh – under the patronage of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) – by Singapore’s renowned Global Schools Group (GSG).

The campus is initially welcoming students from Pre-Kindergarten through to Grade 5, offering the American Common Core curriculum providing a nurturing, inclusive, and future-focused environment for lifelong learning. Through its inquiry-driven approach, the school empowers learners to become confident, compassionate and future-ready global citizens.

Admissions for the 2026-2027 academic year are still open. Parents and guardians interested in securing a place for their child are encouraged to visit the school’s website or contact the admissions office directly.
